Dear Church Family,
Following His Footsteps
Every day of our lives we encounter situations that require us to be obedient to commands. If, for whatever reasons, we decide to ignore those commands the outcome could be tragic. One situation that comes to mind is when a public highway crosses a railrouac track. The crossing can be proctected by lights, gates, cross buck signs, and even a loud locomotive horn but, with all of this, some still choose to disobey the command to stop. CSX has a committee (Operation Life Saver) that goes into High School Drivers Education classes to help rraise the awareness to obey the command to "Stop-Look-Listen" at the reailroad crossings.
In second John Verse 6 we read, "And this is love; that we walk in obedience to His command. As you have heard from the beginnin, His command is that you walk in love."
Opportunities of life can present a lot of paths that we can travel. Some of these paths can be full of dangerous temptations that can stumble even the strongest willed. This is where we need to "Stop" the way we are going, "Look" the other way, "Listen" to God's direction to follow His footsteps.
Walk in Love,
"As a family of families, we desire to love and care for the Community while becoming like and celebrating Christ"
